After the war was over and those men who had survived returned home, there were still a number of issues which concerned the unit, mainly, what happened to the money from the sale of the instruments of the band and what was happening with the Trust Fund that had been established to help the widows and orphans of the men who had died. As you can see by the following letters, it was very difficult to obtain a straight answer to these questions. These are the last official communications that I have been able to find regarding a unit that started out in 1915 which such high hopes.

I have the honour to state that I have been instructed by this Branch of the G.W.V.A. to enquire what disposition has been made or will be made of the proceeds of the sale of the Band Instruments of the 94th Overseas Battalion, C.E.F.

I understand that a recent order has been made whereby these funds will all be administered from Ottawa, but up to the time of writing I have not received a copy of the order."

Secretary G.A.U.V.,

Dear Sir:-

We passed a motion last night in favour of writing to you to ask you to help us respecting monies that were left for the widows and orphans, these monies were derived from the sale of the Band Instruments sold belonging to the 94th Batt. It was left in charge if a Colonel Little and Major Dawson as trustees. Now we have tried all in our power to get this money but up to now have failed, we certainly would esteem it a great favour if your Headquarters would please take this matter up with the minister of Militia at Ottawa.

Yours Respectfully,

C.H. Rogers,

Secretary for Branch

at Port Arthur.
