                                         One of the hobbies of the men was collecting the badges of other units

                                 and mounting them on a belt. This belt was made by Cpl Percy Lindsell.

                                       This is a copy of the memorial given to every member of the

                                                            94th Battalion by the City of Port Arthur

                                                           

Private Alexander Gordon was transferred to the 16th Battalion and he served with that unit both at the front and in the Army of Occupation until he was discharged in 1919. He returned home with these souvenirs

Food was always a great concern to the troops and "special meals" were carefully planned and prepared.
